Day 141: A beautiful day
Saw a matinee performance of 'The Grapes of Wrath' in Stratford Ontario this afternoon....then spent some time enjoying the flowers in the Shakespearean Gardens. Upon arriving back home later in the day, we found an adorable baby bunny in our backyard!

Day 140: In loving memory
It's been a tough last few days. My mother-in-law passed away on May 18 after a lengthy battle with Alzheimer's. We had a small funeral service today and these flowers were part of an arrangement that we placed in the cemetary. May she rest in peace.

Day 135: Weekend cooking
Oftentimes when I am cooking on the weekend, I like to enjoy a 'beverage', which is usually a lime cooler. Reminds me of that saying: 'I like to cook with wine...and sometimes I even add it to the food'! haha.

Day 134: Dinner
For dinner tonight we had what we call our 'St. Patrick's Day dinner'....because we first made these breaded fast-fry steak sandwiches on St. Patrick's Day, several years ago. We usually eat them with a cucumber salad - so good!

Ironing clothes today....so the bottom of the iron became my picture of the day.

Day 129: At day's end
Went down to the lake this evening. Spotted the goslings again...all huddled together at the end of the day. How sweet is this!

Day 128: Happy Mother's Day!
We took my parents out for a Mother's Day lunch today, then it was back to our place for dessert and coffee. This 'turtles' cheesecake, from a local bakery, was terrific!

Day 127: Cuteness overload!
Borrowed a lens (80-200mm, f2.8) from a friend and headed down to the lake to try it out. Wanted to photograph some birds and was pleasantly surprised to see some Canada geese with their goslings in tow. These little guys were so adorable!

Day 126: Buds
It was kind of rainy out, and I didn't feel like stepping outside - so I decided to point my camera through the window to the tree outside the front of the house. I think it would be neat to take this same shot in a week or so...to see how fast the buds develop into leaves.

Day 124: Serendipity
I was in the backyard looking for something to take a picture of...when this falcon zipped by - out of the blue. I'm surprised that I even got some usable shots! Good reflexes, or what! haha.
