Day 237: Everyday

Just a water bottle....thought the words on it were quite appropriate for what was inside it!

Day 236: Big storm

There was quite the light show this evening with all the lightning and thundering!  This image was taken through my bedroom window - I turned off all the lights in the house, put my camera on manual focus and aimed it at the trees....waiting for the right moment!

Day 235: The giant

Picked up this gigantic watermelon this weekend....we have lots of watermelon-eating ahead of us! 

Day 234: Nooo!!

This is what the sky looked like at 8:30pm this evening, in front of my house.  Seems like only yesterday that the sun was shining bright at this time.  Where did the summer go?!

Day 233: By the pool

Babysat my nephew for a few hours today, and sat outside by the pool while he enjoyed himself swimming.

Day 232: Smokey Abstract

I was initially going to photograph the ring bindings of a notebook and forgot to turn on the flash - and so the image turned out all blurry with the low shutter speed.  Despite this mistake, I kind of liked the way the image turned out, so I then re-took the same image, sans flash - but this time I moved the camera around in an "S"-shaped pattern to reveal this smokey abstract.

Day 231: Sweet treat

The hubby had a day off from work today and he not only cooked dinner, but made this blueberry tart for dessert! 

Day 230: Hail!

We had a hailstorm this evening which seemed to come out of nowhere.  The hail collected in a pile by the eavestrough on the front lawn, so I took a picture of it!

Day 229: leaves

A potted African Violet plant in my living room...with its leaves all facing the window.

Day 228: Through the forest darkly

Took a walk through the forest by the house this evening.  There was so much tree cover, that it was a bit too dark for photography!

Day 227: A splash of yellow

Yes...it's a weed...but it's a colourful and pretty weed!

Day 226: A bit of rain

Cloudy skies all day today finally led to some rain.  At least it was good for the backyard flowers.

Day 225: Toronto Botanical Gardens

Enjoyed lunch at my parents' house today and then spent a few hours photographing flowers and bugs at the Toronto Botanical Gardens.  It was a great day!

Day 224: Colourful wine bottles

Our stock of wine was running low....so we had to fix that problem!

Day 223: Technology...up close

Part of an adaptor for one of our computer monitors.  It was lying around....and was thus photographed!

Day 222: Broken

Our coffee maker is on the fritz....again.  Until we replace it....it's instant coffee for us.  Oh well.   

Day 221: Snails

On our walk this evening, there were snails everywhere! 

Day 220: Lightroom

Just got the Lightroom program and so now I have to learn how to use it!  I borrowed this book and will have to make some time to look through it soon.

Day 219: On the front porch

I've been meaning to photograph these tiny flowers we have in a pot on the front porch...and I finally got around to doing it!

Day 218: I scream

Some maple walnut ice cream....soo good on a hot summer's day.

Even though this "Queen Anne's Lace" is a very common plant, I always like photographing it...so many intricate parts.
